Arizona Joins Multistate System To Clean Voter Rolls

Arizona joined a multistate program known as the Electronic Registration Information Center, or “ERIC” for short.

Almost half the states are now participating in the system, and their goal is to make voting rolls more accurate in participating states, by verifying data such as postal addresses, death records and motor vehicle registration, among other things. Arizona’s counties pay a one-time fee of $25,000 and then an annual fee, but that drops as more states join.

Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan speaks with Mark Brodie.
